Forgotten Soldiers of WWI : America’s Immigrant Doughboys
Peter L. Belmonte

MAY 26, SUNDAY, 3 pm

General Meeting: In Person
Presentation: Via ZOOM

Please join us in the BCGS library to listen to Pete Belmonte cover stories of a nation of immigrants in America, that were reflected in the US Army with Irish, Italian, Polish, Ukrainian, German, Greek, and Russian men who had all come in search of work, citizenship, or both.

As a result of this, many found themselves part of the US military during WWI.

Pete will also highlight the types of research used to develop these stories into a number of published books on immigration and military history.
